Application fields
Natural graphite is mostly used for refractories, steelmaking (as a carbon raiser), foundry facings and lubricants.
Refractory Materials
Production of refractory bricks, crucibles, ladles and molds for containing molten metals. Additionally graphite is used in the production of functional refractories for the continuous casting of steel.
Chemical Industry
Production of phosphorus and calcium carbide in arc furnaces; use of graphite as anodes in some aqueous electrolytic processes (for ex. production of halogens).
Electrical Applications
Application of graphite as an electrical material in the manufacture of carbon brushes in electric motors.
Mechanical Applications
Graphite as an engineering material, including piston rings, thrust bearings, journal bearings and vanes.
Other
Natural graphite has found uses as the marking material (leads) in common pencils, in zinc-carbon batteries, nuclear reactors, coatings, paints and various specialized applications.
Production
- We produce graphite in accordance with DIN, TYLER and GOST standards.
- We produce more than 30 grades of graphite with various carbon content.
- Graphite from Taiginka deposit is silver-shine powder, inert, heat and pressure resistant, with good thermal and electric conductivity, antistatic and lubricative properties, with low level of moisture and volatiles content.
